I think that for graphics people, hardcore gamers... anything that requires rendering, SCSI or Firewire are valuable simply because they take no cpu usage to access... IDE requires cpu to calculate hits etc...

They are legitimate, but not nescesarry for all.

I was thinking about getting onto the SCSI train. I haven't really been following the developements and I know there are many flavors so can someone educate me? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif What adapter is the best to buy? Tell me all I need to know.
