Wonder if the new drivers pushed your resolution beyond what your monitor is capable of. Boot into safe mode and turn down the video setting if that is the case if you can. If that does not fix it and you might want to uninstall them in safe mode and reinstall the old ones. tightlines 10-27-2003, 09:30 PM Originally, I tried Last Known Good Configuration, but since everything is loading with apparently no problems behind the Windows loading logo, which occupies the entire screen, that did no good. I rebooted into Safe Mode and deleted all references to those new drivers and rebooted, and all was well. So I figured since I had downloaded them from Microsoft Windows Update, maybe I had installed them incorrectly. So following the directions, I reinstalled the new drivers, and same old problem. This time I rebooted into VGA mode, which is much faster than Safe Mode, and deleted all the nVidia drives, deleted the adapter in Device Manager and rebooted. Back to normal. I then installed the nVidia driver update from April 2003 and it works fine. I have an old Riva TNT 2 16M model 64, which could be at the root of the problem. Thanks for your adive - it worked. chubtub 10-27-2003, 10:19 PM Sonds like they messed up the drivers for that card. :( cyber_gubat 10-28-2003, 06:41 AM press F8 then choose Enable VGA mode, not sure if it's F8 or F5....:t SysOpt.com
