Uses a Celeron or PIII up to 1g, seems like an oddball but I guess it may have a niche...

Its 545$ from Newegg.com, didya look at the link pics? Its sortof a "barebones" affair as you need to add your cpu, mem and hdd choice, it sure would fit in my portable baby toolbag and be very useful at times, its about the size of 3 stacked cd jewelcases...

thats really kool! i wonder what its going for? maybe just getting a lap top would be cheaper.

how much ram and what type of video will this bad bay have? or size harddrive

I think I'd rather go for the laptop... Even a cheap one comes with a screen, keyboard, and imitation mouse device. Desktop chips aren't really all that friendly to battery life, either.

I can see how it could be used as a presentation station or something, though. It'd be really neat to just pop a CD in and present.

Come to think about it, that should be the next area that projectors go into. Can you imagine a projector with a CD-ROM slot on it? That would make class/work presentations so much easier!

Yes, a nice little machine. The guys at Ars did a review on it and on its predecessor. The compnay took alot of Ars' recommendations to heart and made this a nice machine!

They r tite! but the sis vga sucks, n not as convenient as the laptop, especially with monitors.
