Hey,

I was just thinking if I got a new motherboard with RAID and have already got 2 hard drives. If I add a new hard drive to the RAID will it just detect it like a normal Hard drive (eg F:) or will I have to go through a setup process?

I just want this drive to work as a normal hard drive.

Thanks,

Alex. :)

Hey

depends on the board

setup one drive as IDE boot

two drives as IDE raid storage
you will need to setup the raid config

all depends on how you setup the bios setttings for boot config

a normal hard drive?

you can use RAID 0 and itll be TWICE as fast because itll store half the data on one and half the data on the other, it rivals SCSI :)

No it doesnt - ide raid is as slow as mr slow mctardy

Sata Raid is the only way to get a real performance gain to rival SCSI
