I'm using Win98SE and have all of the patches and security up dates downloaded and installed on this system. From time to time I have had to format the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. After the reinstallation I've had to download all the patches again to install them. Is there a folder and/or files that I could burn to a CD-rom before I format that I could use to update the OS after the format so that I would not have to download them?

When you use the Update feature the updates are deleted from the temp folder as soon as the process is completed.

You can download all of the updates and save them wherever you please from here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows98/downloads/corporate.asp).

I think M$ is trying to erase Me from the history books! I can find a dedicated d\l site for it! However you can pick your d\l's from this list of 1604 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?sortCriteria=title&OSID=&productID=DDDCD0BB-6C44-4027-BD49-82E20617CE33&CategoryID=&freetext=&DisplayLang=en&DisplayEnglishAlso=).

Good Luck! :t
