Incase any of you are experiencing the following behaviour with Western Digital EIDE drives dropping out of an IDE RAID array after a few days then read on.
It only effects drives shipped before June. All drives since that date doesn't seem to be effected by it.
This is caused due to the feature that cuts idle acoustic noise in systems in IDE RAID environment.
You need to switch off the thing....click below for details.
