what is this new athlon mp? why does it cost more and is it faster than normal athlon?

This is modified version of Palomino (Athlon 4) core, with few additions which should boost it's performace in SMP environment up to 20% when comparing to Thunderbird core processors running in same machine.

and Here (http://www.tyan.com/products/html/thunderk7.html) is the first motherboard out to support the new SMP platform. The dual cpu mobos arent restricted to just the Palomino's either, you can use standard durons or athlons too.
