is it true that the benchmark software "sandra" does not correctly report the true speed of the p4? is the p4 faster than the athlon? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

First off, the P4 is NOT faster than the Athlon... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif However, the new SiSoft Sandra might tell you otherwise.

I started with a Celeron 400 Slot1 (when they first hit the market), then was going to build a P3 last year, until I saw some performance benchmarks between the P3 and T-bird. Went to the T-bird. Also saved quite a bit of money.

What is "true speed" ? Does anybody knows exactly how does Sandra perfrom all the calculations ? Does P4 1.7 GHz faster then T-Bird 1.4 GHz in "raw speed" ? Too many questions http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
