I was wondering if this type of memory is any good.

Micron True CL2 PC100/Tested to 125MHz/4 Layer 128MB PC100 SDRAM 8ns 168 Pin DIMM

I've noticed that alot say 6 layer so what's the difference between 4 and 6. I can get the above memory for $129, is that a good price?

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong here.
They memory sounds like it is fine. When they say 4 layer or 6 layer they are talking about the Printed Circuit Board or PCB which is the green(usual color) board that the memory is mounted on. Basically the 6 layer is more durable and usually more reliable(stable). I'm guessing your not building a server and if the memory comes with a warranty that you are happy with then the price doesn't seam to bad. You should get at least a one year warranty.

What is up memory prices lately (no pun intended). A little while back you could by 128MB SDRAM for less than $90 and now it is anywhere from $125 to $150 (all prices are for PC100).

As memory speeds get faster the little things become more important. Rather than just foil on the top and bottom of the circuit boards there are multiple layers sandwiched up in these memory modules. Besides connectivity some of these layers provide shielding and signal propogation benefits. As a rule the more layers the more expensive but the more likely to be reliable in more different situations and the fewer flakey problems with the need to swap modules around to get something to work. My experience is that it usually takes 6 layers to get reliable PC-100 memory.

Well I went ahead and bought it. It's only for surfing the net so it should work just fine. Actually about 2 months or so ago 128 pc100 memory sold for $60. I started to buy it then and wish I would've. Even the name brand stuff was less than $100. Thanks for your help.
