Swordfish 10-15-2003, 08:09 AM what doesn't Nero help? http://www.nero.com/en/index.html Baddog 10-15-2003, 09:48 AM Originally posted by Swordfish what doesn't Nero help? http://www.nero.com/en/index.html Thats all you need.:t taz76 10-18-2003, 07:54 AM maybe I don't get something, but I couldn't find a way to back up folders in Nero. It can backup the whole contents of the drive, but this is not what I need, just as I explained in the original message. I only want to save chosen folders. I have Nero 6 Ultra. Where am I going wrong? Swordfish 10-18-2003, 08:23 AM just create a normal data cd. You can drag and drop files from the file browser. I suppose you are using 'Burn Harddrive Backup' that backs up the entire drive/partition. taz76 10-18-2003, 08:32 AM Obviousely we understand "backup" differently. I've got two folders over 12 GB all together. information in them gets updated often, quite a few foldres in each, also just unorganised files. I don't want to spend ages making sure that every file is saved on one of the backup CDs. I want a piece of software that will let me point at the folders that need backing up, and then that software will do the backup image for me, so that I just have to feed it as many CDWRs as it takes. Ths is the difference between a backup and just saving files. :t Swordfish 10-18-2003, 08:40 AM oic, Nero ultra does have 'NeroBackitup', if i am not mistaken, doesn't that let you to backup individual files/folders by selecting them. taz76 10-18-2003, 08:56 AM it is mentioned in Help but I can't find it anywhere; and the help is not really helpfull, it just says that yes, sometimes it is a good idea to do a backup, but it doesn't tell you where this BackItUp option is. :( Swordfish 10-18-2003, 10:23 AM click start>programs>nero>nero ultra edition>Nero backitup. if its not there then you may need to download a fresh copy from Nero's website. taz76 10-18-2003, 12:17 PM with all due respect, Swordfish, do you think I am stupid? Had it been that easy I would not post asking for help. It is not present on my HDD. Never mind, I've just finished moving my folders onto another disk. Don't need any more advice. Swordfish 10-18-2003, 12:20 PM nevermind, you can download the new nero 6 from the website, it is loaded with Nero Backitup, CoverDesigner, Soundtrax, Waveditor, Imagedrive. and got your point, no more advice. Take care.:t SysOpt.com
