I just want a free fully functional codec by itself, ie. not bundled with some program that I don't want. Does ne1 know where I can download it? I tried to play a WMA file in WinAmp and it said download the codec from www.winamp.com, (http://www.winamp.com,) but I couldn't find it there. I tried Microsoft's site, no luck.

I don't know, but you need to have at least the middle packet of winamp (not the lite) to have wma support (this is for decoding). Microsoft supplies the codec with windows media encoder.
