I am going to get a DVD-ROM drive for my computer, and I was wondering if there is a difference between the two (besides that slotload is a lot cooler! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif) I have a 700MHz P3 if that matters... Thanks!

Well, you will find, even if slot-load is "cooler" (ugh) that they have a shorter lifespan (at least in my experience) and that the new small CD's (they have the same size hole as the CD, but they are smaller) will not work in them. Also, if a disk gets stuck, you have to bring it to a repair shop (no paperclip hole)
