as most of u guys know i had wireless connection at it kept kicking offline. so i ran wires to the router. it still does that but once in a while now. i know that it isnt the wire because if i connect it straight to the modem and dial up to altell it never kicks me off. the router is a linksys 4 port and wireless broadband router any suggestion on how to fix it or do i have to get a new router??

just get a new router!!!

the router is only 1 month or 2 old

Most Entry level Router has an Autoconnect and Idle settings that if are not set right may cause such a problem.

Also make sure that you have the latest Firmware.

well my step dad was the one who set this up and i dont even think that he config the router. how do u config a router i have never done it so imnew to networkin

Thats probably why its not working properly.

In IT everything needs configured to work properly.

Nothing works first time out of the box.
