Does this not mean that the BIOS will always be accessible and susceptible to software change?
Even by remote users, even after boot while the machine is running, while it is connected to any network, including the internet, IRC, WWW, etc?
How can an individual user, or an administrator ever be conficent that the BIOS on the machines they are responsible for has not been modified without the admin's knowledge?
The writeup is extremely casual and general, but based on what little information I can get out of it, this looks like the mother of all security breaches.
Does anyone have better information, or an explanation of why my concerns ar4 not realistic?
