If I want to send a file to someone or if possible a whole program how can I do this,

If you're sending a program, it needs to be the complete distributable .exe or .zip file, not just taken from your own HD. You could email it as an attachment or upload it to your webspace and give the other person the URL...

that depends... you could use an FTP like WS_FTP (http://www.ipswitch.com/) or you could use a messenger service to send the file on its own. Alternatively you could post the file on a web page for download

are you saying if i have the cd-rom or floppy full program , that I can send the whole program as a attachment!

you can send the CD-ROM ISO as an attachment....most CD-ROMS/floppies have more than one file... just create an ISO and send that (it contains everything thats on that CD-ROM)

so your saying if i make a copy- make it as a iso! , then i could send it that way , question on that but why does it have to be an iso!

because installtion uses more than one file... an iso is not something you can copy to, if you dont know how.. read this (http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=245)

It doesn't, it's just easier if it's only one file. You could archive them into a zip file if you wanted.

a .zip file is one file.

You cant send the folder from your computer to his/hers because it will probably have other settings that need to change (might be something like Registry Keys or something of that sort) so it wouldnt work

What exactly are you trying to send? Is it currently on floppy, CD, or as an installation program on your hard disk?

well my brother inlaw was trying to send a file to his friend but he couldn't and he asked me, since I was going to post the question I thought that i would ask for myself just in case if i needed to do it one day(with a whole program) also to try it and to experiment! you never know! (it was a file a his harddisk
