Yours is DIMM. SIMM is ancient... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Where can you get the "best" RAM? Well, anywhere where its cheap. You might want to spend couple more $$$:s and buy one that has "lifetime" return-it-if-it-doesnt-work-anymore support... You might ask it where you are about to buy it.

SDRAM is almost so inexpensive they're throwing it away. Look around at www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) .

If you REALLY want guaranteed, gonna work, warranty up the **** RAM, go to www.crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com)

If you want it cheap as dirt, go to price watch.

Sorry daeeki but I can't help you. As a matter f fact, I have some questions myself about ram that I thought we could both learn from. Okay my questions are:
1. how many different types of ram are there
2. how do you tell the difference from p100 to p133 and so on
Thank Guys...

GUYS SOMETHING IS WRONG
after installing ram to my computer I tested
3Dbenchmark, but it froze, which never happened, so I lower the core of the video card and tried again, and it froze again.
But strange thins is when I play Max Payne
it works fine....any suggestion?
is 384mb ram is too much for windows 98sec?
if it is what is the solution?

@Edwelly hope this link help http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.zdnet.com/zdhelp/stories/main/0,5594,2579403-1,00.html

Why dont you try setting it back to 64 and remove the old ram and see if you have lockups with just the new stick. Setting it to 128 isnt really gonna make a noticable difference anyway. If it runs fine with just the new stick then add the old ram 1 stick at a time and see if you get lockups. It may just as simple as switching the ram to different slots. How do you know you got "quality ram"? If your getting lockups with all the ram in then something isnt compatiable obviously.
