I want to do a thorough surface scan for bad sectors, but I don't want to do it for 3 days. I have 4x 28gig drives. Is there a faster way to surface scan than scandisk?

This way there is NO background programs running to slow down. Make sure to dump the "temporary internet files" first, and anything you want to get rid of. After scandisk, run defrag..
