DivX to VCD or Anything.....

Ok....i ripped a DVD...!
Used FlaskMpeg to Convert it from MPEG2 to MPEG4 as i think using DIVX fast motion.
I get an output file .AVI
i want to make a VCD to watch the movie i produced.What prog should i use and should it be converted again to MPEG1 to write it on a CD for VCD?
Why do i get in this AVI file when i use Windows media player to see it AV desync..?

The best free app is called TMPGEnc 12. Anything later than c will is not as full of features. It will cut your VCD into two cds, as most bit rates that play on DVD players are too big for one cd.
