As the title says, I have a "friend" who deals only with the Fruit, and he keeps handing me cd-r with music or movie files. Is there anyway or any proggy that would allow me to read the files? These are mostly mp3 and avi files.. I have quicktime installed but if I can read the files, it does little to help..
**** U APPLE!!! ;)
Thanks in advance..

I wasn't aware that there would be a problem transfering mp3's and avi's from a mac to a PC...a friend of mine and myself transfer files between my desktop and his G4 laptop all the time without a hiccup

Windows Media Player will play both AVI files and MP3 files. Can you open the Disc using My Computer -> CD Drive? If not the disc could have issues. Try updating Media Player. What version of Windows are you using?
Do you have a CD burner? If not he may need to close the CD before transferring it to your PC. I do not use MAC, but by default my Roxio does not close CD's and I can not read them on my Laptop (Old Compaq - P233MMX).
