In terms of HDD, what is actually S.M.A.R.T capabilities and what are the advantages/disadvantages if it is enalbed/disabled.

Wherever I happened to see the configurations, this always found disabled. Any idea please

If its turned on it CAN give you an indication of the Hdd's general condition.......

OK= OK
Bad = Up the creak :t

you should really have smart enabled. it can tell you to replace the drive before it totally croaks on you.

you mean that SMART capability must be enabled?

in that case, isn't it affect the working performance of the pc??

smart barely uses any resources, so the benefits greatly outweigh the performance loss. You won't notice a difference.
