Computer keeps rebooting -PLS HELP

Hi,

There are two computers in my place, 1 with internet connection the other without. So I decided to install NetGear NIC on both and use a NetGear Hub to create my own LAN and use Internet connection sharing.

Everything worked fine except that the computer that acts as the host keeps rebooting randomly! I noticed that it also always seems to happen if we are trying to play UnrealTournament.

I have checked whether its my motherboards or PC heating up but it has happen from starting up the PC when it has not been on for long time. I have also switched the NIC cards just in case it was a faulty one but it still reboots the host comp only.

I have also re-installed them both along with ICS but no luck.

Has anyone come across this before and can someone help pls?

Have you virus checked - sounds distinctly blasterlike/welchia.
Remove all peripherals and start plugging them back in and testing until the hooky one causes the system to fail then its a case of moving slots / chainging bios settings etc

Try altering the bios pNP parameter to yes or no.
Reset bios to default first - see if that helps - you may have an overclocking settting set too high such as memory bus speed , processor fsb etc etc etc

I have virus checked using norton professional 2003. all clean.

I also did an ad-aware clean up just in case.

I switched these and zone alarm off just in case it was them that was causing it but no luck.

I have never changed bios setting so so i dont know whether it would be that coz it was working fine previously.

You can either remove all and plug back in until fails or
remove each one on its own until you find the hooky one.
