Do you get problems when you upload to NTL?

I do my friend's website and he is with NTL, each time I upload the site, various links dont work. Sometimes on three attemts, we get three different results. The site is OK from the desktop, and online when we view source, everything is there, but some links dont connect.

Absolutely correct.
Ive been on NTL since the dialup days and it seems to have gotten worse over the last year or so.

Had problems recently - updated some pages but the results didnt appear for days!!!

Have also had numerous email outages - particularly if you have more than one email alias - maybe they are just on different servers and that server is down but its quite annoying sometimes.
They are supposed to run a 24 hour service but Im sure they down their servers at night to do their backups!!!

Its a problem for NTL - It may be that they are "enhancing security" , "upgrading email servers" , "installing new facilities" - which probably all means their systems are f£$%%£ and they have to wait till morning until the required engineers can be bothered to turn up to fix things. NTL are always on the lookout for new engineers so their staff turnover must be mega!!!

They are a good company its just a shame customer service isnt top of their list.

It was beign a pain in the unmentionables for about the last three months so i stopped bothering with it, however i was using it last night and all worked fine. As a sidenote if upload.ntlworld.com wotn work for you use the Irish upload server upload.ntlworld.ie ive had to use it all along to get it to work
