I was wondering if the lower number of dpi is better than a higher number of dpi, for example .3 dpi vs. .2 dpi. I was wondering because I looked at richard cranium's great deal on a 19" Samsung with .2 dpi and my dad told me to find out which is better. So far I heard a higher number of dpi is better. Lower is better.

This refers to the size of the phosphor dots that generate the image.

Lower number; smaller dots; more dots per square inch = more detail.

The smaller thedot pitch, the better. .28 is average. .22 is the best I have seen. .30 is the worst I have seen.

The lower number is better. ie.. .23dpi is better than .27, a huge difference.

I love my 955DF!! The dot pitch is so fine that you need a magnifying glass to see the phosphur dots.

I'm running at 1280x1024 resolution, it's so nice to not have to scroll so much when surfing!

Hi,
You have to be carefull check how the dot pitch is measured:it should be diagonally.
Some low-end manufacturer are now giving
dot pitch horizontally.
A 0.27 diagonally is better than a 0.26 horizontally.

Yep, and just went to the link provided, Samsung is indeed measuring their DP horizontally.
