Why a WoW benchmark...that game wont be out for a LONG time

Ehh, it'll be out middle of next year. For all the time I've been waiting for the game...6-7 months is a short wait, believe me :)

Its being developed by Blizzard, and won't be out for a LONG time.

Q2 2004...not as long as you might think...gonna try and sign up for beta, if they have open applications.

1917 - high resolution, benchmark only, no looping.

System stats - AMD XP 1800+ Palomino @ 1715 MHz, DDR 333 @ 372, Asus A7V8X-X, ATI Raedon 7500 All in Wonder 64MB DDR, Windows 2000 Pro SP4.

Pretty cool benchmark, I like it more than the first one I had last year :D

I know Q2 2004 isnt that far off, but I would be surprised to see it out then. Blizzard's track record boasts a lot of delays.

I would love to get in on some beta action though :D

2338 last night, system stats as above EXCEPT I dropped in my new AMD XP 2500+ Barton (stock) and Volcano 9 HSF. I'll edit this reply later today when I run it again at the current settings.

Well that's buggered... system is running clean and hella overclocked (12x190=2288 MHz), and only scored a 2401 rating???

I'se quite confused, given the jump I got going from the Palomino to the Barton to begin with. Oh well :)

After a point Mark2003 is more relaint on Gfx cards, specifically DX9 capability, rather than CPU power
