I have a heckuva time trying to understand why sometimes i can burn a program/folder to install on another pc, but other times the folders will not have the nessesary files.

How can I be sure all the files that are assosiated with a program are going to be there?

If the file is being used by windows etc.., it won't copy over.

If you do multi-session writing you may have this problem. When I first starting using CD-burners (about 2 yrs ago), I would write a few tracks, and then want to add more later. The cd only saw the first tracks when I put it in a standard player. Don't know if this is the case with yours. Hope this helps, dave http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I am pretty sure that I am not using any of these programs while trying to copy, maybe some of this stuff is hooked up with other programs?

However, is there a way to search for all associated files connected to any program or folder? At that point I could drag the program to the burner.

It seems like I ran across something one time about hidden files, maybe that would be part of the cure.
