AMD sells their processors in a "boxed" package with a heatsink/fan. They come with a 3 year waranty, but does anyone know what kind of fan/heatsink they use? Is it any good?

Richard_Cranium72 07-23-2001, 08:05 PM The Retail boxed Intel Celeron coolers rated VERY good in Heat Sink tests. I've done mild overclocking with them. struggles 07-24-2001, 12:04 AM Average at best. I always upgrade for a couple extra bucks. paul233 07-24-2001, 12:12 AM I just got one and tried it out. With artic silver it was 4 degrees hotter than my Volcano 2. which keeps my 1.2 athlon @1380 at 44-47 max. So its actually a pretty good unit imo. SysOpt.com
