reinstalled setihide

i had to reinstall windows and now i reinstalled setihide but how can i log in with my previous name not some new name? i forgot :x

As Frank said, when you start the client the first time it will give you options as a new or previous account. Just put in your email address and all should be well. If you don't remember which address you used I could look it up for you.:)

ok so when i started the installation it said " Installation complete. Have Fun :) "

Then it brings me into setihide and this shows up

you have to start the client first.. select 2, and enter you email address.. let it download a wu, then hit ctrl c. now you can start setihide.

is your user name is on the main screen now?..

I had problems with setihide until I found this post. I think it was Scavenger7 who posted it.

I had to type it in manually. If your using the 3.03 cmdline version then you would type that in. Dont forget to save it.
That fixed my problem. Im still using setidriver on my other computers. It seems easier and it does cache. I didnt need the extra stuff on setihide. Using setihide will not make it run faster. Hope this helps Amd!:t

thanks sir frank,now that problem i had before with the error message that said "Seti couldnt update stats you might wanna try again later" is now gone.Now i just have the problem on how to get my wu's back that i had before i formated everything.

As far as any cache you had completed and unsent, they're lost. If you're talking about wu's that were already sent, they'll show up on your next update.

If they were on the hard drive you re-formatted they are gone.,history,kaput. How many processed Wu,s did you have on it anyway? I hope it wasnt a lot!:(

You still have the same WU count. The number you have coompleted is stored on the SETI server at Berkley. If you log in with the same e-mail you shouold get your WU count back next time you complete a WU.


You must run the client before running SETI HIDE.
----------
1. Put seti client in a directory - I use C:\SETI.
2. Run the client and log in. Wait for the first WU to down load and close the client.
3. Put setihide in the same directory as the client you just ran and start SETI HIDE. It should rearrange the files and start processing.
4. Once the first WU is complete it will send the WU and get you information and your WU count should match the stored value on the server at Berkley.

Allright! the seti client still has my wu's that i had before so maybe after the first wu is complete seti hide will work again. i hope
