Can't hear any MIDI sound

Yeah.. I was reinstalling all my program and such, because i changed my Motehrboard
and well i have some problem here, like.. I can hear MP3, cd music and such, but I can't hear any MIDI

is there something to do with my midi or maybe the system needs update? ^^; thank you for your attention. and please respond... thanks

Check your sound card. Make sure you've loaded the proper drivers and for conflices. Check the Device Manager for yellow (!) which would indicate a conflict or missing drivers.

My midi interface was disabled on my old PC because I had a conflict with an old network card. The NIC was non-plug-n-pray and I had to keep dinking with jumpers. Eventually, I got everyone to co-exist nicely.

What soundcard do you have ? In case of Sound Blaster PCI, for example, you need to have wavetable patches to be installed.
