vinyl to pc

I am not in to this sort of thing but what do you guys think is a good program to copy vinyl records to the pc for creating cd's.

For win 98se and also xp pro.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\sndrec32.exe or the wav editor that comes with any version of Nero.

I have done this before. I used the windows sound recorder and the line in jack on my sound card. I had to play with the settings to get a good wav file, but it was easy to create the audio cd in roxio.

You would be well off if you had a software that can record sound that let you manipulate the equalizer settings and KHz speed. You can adjust the sound settings and get a decent recording where you may be able to mask some of the hissing and popping that records create.
