Just downloaded and tried it out. Pretty cool...and pretty fast.....if we can get good comparisons...it will be a lot faster than running a couple of 3D Marks 2001 & 2003.

I Compooter means that if the big two Nvidia and ATi "cheat" trying to optimise the Futuremark scores, would Aquamark give a better indication of performance on these cards, ie, cheating would not work?

I think it will give similar results as the real performance is in the game you play, not the benchmark score.:)

I don't think either really cheat for 3Dmark, however aquamark is a little less video card dependant.

Well now let me see, billions of dollars resting on who scores the next best vid card? and they don't cheat? hmmmm.........maybe I'm just too old in the tooth and cynical.:)

The syntetic benchies usualy run fairly consistant with the actual game benchmarks, so they can't be cheating too badly. You can't cheat in a gaming benchmark, better scores mean better cards.

Well now, that means all the Ti4x00 cards that struggle to score on 3D2003 are poorer cards than the Ati 9200 or 9600's which score far higher.? this should be fun.......not that I mind, as my 9600 scores better than most 4200 cards on 3D2003 and is now equal to a 4200 on 3d2001 with the 3.7 cat drivers.

Mines is the superior card then?
