Lets see, 100 dollars divided by 3 dollars is 33.33 months. If your going to stay put for more than 3 years and they keep the service and newer type services don't start up in the next three years.......etc...let your pocket book be your guide. The speed is regulated in their office.

For $3 id say it wouldnt be worth it to buy one roadrunner charges $15 a month. Also you wont seee a speeed improvment.

Agreed!
Also, out of curiosity, where are you at that you get pipeline at 256/256? Seems like an odd package. Most packages are no the same down/up from charter.

256k up and 1.5mb down max
We also have Charter Pipeline around here and they have 2 residential packages...
Silver: ($28/mo)
250k down
128k up
Gold: ($38/mo)
750k up and down
Please note that it is 3.95 a month for a modem rented, and that is included in the above prices.
Charter's Cable TV prices are rediculously high around here (Like $40 a month for the standard 15 channels) and it is $10 more on the prices above if you don't have their Cable TV service
