But in reality, the weapon itself is not in the least bit threatening. The threat comes from knowing that the owner knows how to use it and is prepared to do just that without hesitation. Carrying a weapon for self-defence is futile. Most people who pull a weapon on someone in defence end up on the receiving end of it because they don’t really want to use it and the other person knows this. Collecting weapons is also pointless. They are designed with one purpose, to kill. There's no point in killing an opponent. That way, they won't know they've lost, and to be a real winner you have to have an opponent who is beaten and knows it.
