My favourite is AC Milan but i also like Real Madrid now that they got beckham they seem to get better than before and it could be a good replacement for zidane since i hear he might be retiring :( http://webhome.idirect.com/~showdown/serie_a/milan_logo1.gif

Coventry City FC (god know how that happened) and my hometown Hartlepool United obviously.

Real are a decent team going forward but lack defensive stability IMO.. comes with having your back three pushed up to the halfway line at all times though i suppose :x

Beckham cant tackle for toffee and to be honest if he was playing 20 years ago when any decent winger could put a ball in from out wide onto a six pence, her would be nothing special.

Zidane is probably the most inspirational player in the world and the definition of a plamaker, however he does lack some of the 'midfield general' qualities needed to be the complete midfielder, he's not a big hittign tackler and i dont think he would be much good as an anchorman.

Ronaldo's a decent forward, but IMO he's nottin on Raul and i think figo's better behind the front two rather than on the wing, he also seems to be an 'on the day' player, only really coming into his own if and when he can be bothered, he's not a consistent genius

Yeah your right sometimes reals players are too stupid because they get too cocky sometimes figo does this too especially ronaldo lol but beckham has a nice way of playing but even though I dont like english players too much beckham giggs and owen are pretty **** good but so is davids who plays for juventus i think hes english right? lol not too sure about him cuz i dont like juventus too much. But i still like a couple of the english leagues like Man U. and Arsenal.

Davids is Dutch and getting too old for the game, he's becoem too much of a 'stand in the centre of the park and swing at people' player, soemthing indicated by his sending off mid-week in Hollands Euro 2004 qualifier.

Beckham is ****, has to be said. Giggs is good, but he isnt a winger, fir the reason he simply cannot cross to save his life IMO, he woudl be better behind the front two as a link up man, but due to the drought of left sided players in the modern game, he gets plugged in at left wing as default. As for owen, decent striker, but size is against him and if he were to suffer a broken leg any tiem soon his carrer would probably over due to his reliance on pace. Personally i much prefer the lieks of Wayne Rooney and James Beatie, much more balanced all round, workman like strikers IMO who will get you goals from any part of the park and are also physically stong (something i dont think Owen really is)

As a sidenote the Poolies, newly promoted to Nationwide Division 2, gave Grimsby (newly relegated from Nationwide Division 1) a sound thrashing last night.

8-1 to the Blue and White army :D
