Fix for 'slower' AMD performance in Quake 3

I heard about this over at TIMO, but they never mentioned why the DLL's helped so I never downloaded them! Thanks, perhaps this will give my AthlonXP 2500+ a nice edge :)

Has anyone here tried them yet?

All it's really adding is 20 FPS's to a game that usally gets over 150 FPS's on any decent gaming computer (1 ghz on up) anyways. A difference that you and I probably won't notice. )-| ;)

Because this is the real point-someone butched this software obviuosly in Intel's favour. Not good for the game co rep. or Intel's rep. All this time they been showing up the p4 with these benches and the only reasont they were better was cause some programers had their head up Intel's ****. Sickening it is! Especially to deliberatly NOT use the better XP SSE which would have way toasted the P4's speed in this game. Thats the real point. Not the fps gain at all.

Wow! On my AthlonXP 2500+, Radeon 9800, 512 PC-2700 DDR, nForce2 I got another 30fps!!! WOWZERS these things are 1337 :D
