WinXP Pro, Nildram ADSL.
Have just got a Conexant PAE-CE84 ADSL 4port Router and am trying to set it up. I have tried a crossover from PC and a straight from my net hub but the setup program always says "No connection between PC and router", but of course, there IS! That's as far as I can get.

Can anyone help?
Many thansk

Use only a regular patch cable with a router. Crossover is pc to pc .

does your router have an uplink port? plug the crossover into that instead. what do you mean by net hub? is that the same as the router with 4 ports?

I'm assuming your trying to share a DSL connection? Just connect the DSL modem to your router using a regular straight through network cable (ie: the one supplied with your modem or router). The connect each PC to the router using straight through cables - that should be it for the cabling. You can refer to your router manual for setup... most have a web based configuration which can be accessed at http://192.168.0.1 for any PC attached to the router (assuming the PC's are setup correctly for TCP/IP).

Please clarify what you mean by "net hub".
