I live in Western Maryland, and last night (today is 7/19) we had a major train wreck in Baltimore. I just wanted to let everyone out there using broadband or leased lines know that they may not have internet access, depending on how they connect. For example, at my company, we use one network but are in the process of being converted to different one, one works the other doesn't. Also, I know many of our 800 numbers don't work, so that could be the reason if your company's 800 number is down. Thirdly, dial-up may be slow if your ISP goes through b-more, because it may have to be rerouted around there. Just thought I'd let everyone in my neck of the woods know

For a second, I thought you were going to say you were one of the ones evacuated from Camden Yards.

No, RH, thankfully I wasn't one of the ones caught up in that, and I wasn't one of those sent to the hospital.

I heard that users as far away as NJ were affected by the fire/wreck...is that true?

To the mods...sorry if this thread diverges from the topic...
