Well I've jsut ran into a big problem..
Last night this game worked fine for me then today when I lay the first building down I blow up and lose the game...
Actually I've been messing with it and If I just sit there when the game starts everything just blows up...
I just don't understand it....
The help boards for c&c never worked and guessing never will.

i've had the same problem, my roomate did, and a bunch of other friends did... the only solution we found is to just reinstall the game
C&C: Generals Zero Hour is coming out soon on September 22.

System Specs?
System overclocked?

no something completly different and actually rather clever. It's C&C recognising you aren't using the original .exe (i.e. you've cracked it).
It is damned clever really, the protection they use nowadays is really, really clever because (a) the people who make the patch generally play for a couple of minutes to see if it works (b) you're fooled into thinking it has worked.
Remove the crack and put the original .exe back in and all will be well. Buggered my game up as well - I don't like using CD's (have them all installed to HDD to save time and effort ;)).
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, the started doing it with RA2.

yes, but it all depends on your crack!

No it isn't a pirated game using a crack. The crack is used if you just want to play the game without having to dig around for the cd.
Mine crashed in ME without using a crack.
But runs fine in 98se, 2k, and XP.
