Is there such a thing as a SCSI DVD ROM drive?

Computer manufacturers (HP, IBM, Compaq, Dell, etc) are just slapping them into new computers to seem more attractive. Also, there's not many DVD titles out there, so not many people who own computers with regular CD-ROM drives find the need to buy IDE DVD drives, much less SCSI DVD drives. netsurfer 08-30-1999, 12:43 AM I heard Pioneer made a SCSI DVD rom drive, although it's quite expensive. papalion 08-30-1999, 12:48 AM Why doesn't anybody else (like Sony, for example) make one?
