Star Wars Galaxies ... Any good ?

i played it for a week... i did engineering and omg talk about boring, but like most mmorpgs you gotta think... what is the point? there is nothing that comes out of playing it at all other than just a huge time killer, i have some friends that still play it and they really like it but they didnt do engineering, so maybe i ruined it for myself by doing engineering *shrug*, all it all its pretty good but if you take the engineering route you either need A LOT of time and patience or prepare for ultimate boredom.

I've been going strong since release day. I like it. Granted, I think you have to be a SW fan to really want to play it a lot. Graphics are defineatly amazing. I'll be honest, its not non-stop fun, but if I find I am bored for a couple minutes I'll either log off for a bit or head to a populated area and shoot the sh** with other players.

As far as MMORPGs go, I think its great, especially coming from AO.

Pretty good game, but just could not get into it. It was a tad bit slow for my taste added to the fact that I could give or take the SW aspect of it.

I played it for about a month then dropped. Something was just missing.

Thats mostly true. It has great graphics, it is slow to play (I dont think any MMORPGS aren't) but I wouldnt consider it dull.

The graphics are quite nice, pretty smooth. Its similar to other MMORPGS, time intensive, lots of grunt work to get to the fun stuff. If you havent liked other MMORPGS, you wont like SWG, unless you are a diehard Star Wars fan. I played EQ for a long time (Kunark - just before lauch of Planes of Power) and enjoyed it, I like the genre.

I like some single player games, but I find many get boring due to lackluster AI. Most single player games are load, save, retry until you get it right. With MMORPG games everything keeps going, nothing is predictable.

Anyways although I enjoyed SWG I really don't play anymore. Mostly because I prefer the fantasy games over Space/Guns.
