Re: Medal of Honor Allied Assault Locking up
Running Win2K SP4 - Athlon 1.4 - 512 RAM - Gigabyte Radeon 9200 AGP w/ 128mb DDRAM (tried updated drivers from both Gigabyte and ATI) - Creative AWE 64 sound card - ABIT KT7A Raid board w/ A9 bios - VIA 4.49 - Running system @ 32 bit true color, 800 x 600, DX 9.0b
game starts, then either blacks out screen or locks up. I've applied patch 1.11v9 and tried to run it in the games safe mode -
Suggestions?

just tried to install return to castle wolfenstein and it's having problems also
A thought:
This board seems like it's always been power hungry - was in another box in the house and I had to upgrade to 450W PS when I put a 128mb video card in it.
Installed the board in this box with a 400w PS and a 32mb video card and had an occasional lockup. Just installed the GigaByte Radeon 9200 w/ 128mb and now the problem is worse
Do I need more power?
If so, how much more?
Buying cheapies a no-no?
Please recommend good sources or brands or both
Thanks

Thanks for the response. ATI had some newer drivers and it helped but didn't cure. I've ordered a 550 w PS and I really think that will fix it.
I'm running 3 case fans, a hd cooler, and 2 hard drives besides the dvd, floppy, nic and sound card. I think the addition of the 128mb video card put it over the edge.
