Ya I have this problem when Im playing counter-strike ( isnt related ) the max buttons i can push is 2 and the other ones wont respond, I can press shift ( walk ) w ( forward ) and when i try and switch between my guns ( 1, 2, 3 ) my keyboard doesnt work i have to let go of W to press 1 2 or 3 its like my keyboard can only register 2/3 buttons at a time or something.

there was this program that displayed all the keys you were pressing on a full screen display. Ill try and get it for you
By what your saying, it seems that it can handle the control keys all at once, but not the typing keys as such
Does CTRL+ALT+DELETE work in windows?

I realised I had that problem back then when I was using an AT keyboard. I'm not sure if this is an AT/PS2 keyboard problem, but my problems don't show up on my systems that have motherboards with PS/2 ports for keyboards.

Maybe you could tweak around your BIOS? I'm not really sure which settings you could try. Maybe the typematic settings or the keyboard delay (not sure what it's called).

When I press Shift + W, #2 Doesnt do anything but #1 still works.

And it seems every other button works except for #2 When I press 2 buttons at a time

well, you said this was in counter-strike. unless you use the knife a lot(beyond running) i suggest you use the 'q' key to switch between weapons.

As far as the keyboard thing, if it is just the two, you could bind the secondary weapon to another key like f(who uses the flashlight anymore?) or g(that doesn't do anything, right?)

You can try the workaround mentioned above, or attempt to solve the problem completely.

Are you using an AT keyboard?
