i get a message after i connect to the server and before i choose my teams it puts me in console and says svc_bad ?

Have you tried re-installing CS?? Is this problem only while trying to play CS?
My boss had an svchost error a little while back while checking e-mail with outlook 2k. Patch from windows updates fixed the problem.. What OS are you running? and is it updated?
