With no suprise rangeral, Vern-Frazee, rmanet have no votes, as 1 has a daily post count of 0.25 or so, Another just over 1.03 and the other with a wopping 2.50

I love how these mods are picked and I could quote some certian people on saying these new mods will be doing lots of posting and what not, then hmmmmmm. They don't!

Only 1 of those 3 have responded to a thread in the last 4 days. but eh..

well i think mods just CHOOSE not to respond. Because, when you get down to it, there really is no point. all the mods check out the posts, but just choose not to post.
for example, when a thread needs to be closed, they close it. When a question needs to be answered, they wait for other members to answer it.
And when a person does something incredibly stupid, they say something about it and close the thread.
for example for THAT, see how gib was talking about SRJ and the other mods, and SRJ and ND came up.
its just a matter of necessity.

I came here on December 4th, 2000. I was visiting here for almost a year before that as well but didn't want to register .... In a few months this would be 3 years.
3 years and 6k+ posts. That's about 6+ posts per day. Lots of posts ? I don't think so ... BPB did it in few months :p

Everybody can join the forums and get help from the best techies around. We have our Video, Storage and Networking Gurus, every section is covered ... some know better, some know more.

And we all do it for free. Not only talking about the Mods staff, I talk about everybody. Maybe only Steve is getting paid, I don't really know about him :p

Why ? Probably troubleshooting just keeps me in shape :cool:
We also have here some very nice company. Mutants occasionally come and getting banned, rest are cool and fun to chat with :t

Answering all the questions ... would you answer the same question for 200th time ? No ... hmm :rolleyes:
People should get used to first take advantage of the easiest tool given to them : the Search button. One too lazy or too dumb won't get any answers from me, I see no reason to bother ...

The search button is always a huge issue at every forum.
its always the same, some noob comes and doesnt use a question and asks somthing like "Are my temps ok". Which there must be 1 million threads on.

I find it easier to use the search then type out a big long question, but.

and also make that a sticky.

Maybe that would get some ppl's attention and we may have less of those repititive thread's talkin abt same thing over and over again.

But I think all us regulars are actually hoping to help somebody, but we all have egos, and need to allow for each others and be aware of our own. ;)

As for the search problem, people especially n00bs, come here looking for answers. They're too inexperienced and confused to know how to search or research a problem. Most of them can be found on google FCS!

I think we just need to be patient and check our attitudes, I'm prolly the one of the worst, and keep helping people gently along. 'Course we can always make them mindful or remind them of how to search :t

huh?? if in reality everybody read the faq then we wouldn't get the same questions for which the answers are already there in the faq.

if one browse thru community you get lots of posts asking for the post counts notifications etc etc...

that indicates that nobody ever browses thru them.

I already told Steve a few times we should force every newcoming member to read the FAQ before the registration process :x
