I have an old HDD (4gig) that a freind gave me to try to get his resume off of. Apparently his son had used this drive and has compacted it using something called Dbblspc(doublespace?)
I converted the drive to FAT 32, ran Check Disk. and Defrag. But I can't get to any information. There's only 38MB of free space on the disk, so due to my limited knowledge, I'm stumped.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Try imaging the drive to another larger drive, then decompress it.

Thanx guys:t
Changing to FAT32 was a mistake. After converting it back to FAT16 I was able to access the drive. Set up a dual boot using Partition Magic, and find the find the Drive Space utility. It took alot of trial and error, but now I know what to do if this ever comes up again.
DataBack is cool, and worked quite well, but the files I wanted were unreadable. I guess it was from the compression, or the fact that I had changed the file system. The OS on the drive is Win95B. Man I'd forgotten how slow that thing could be
Anyway, thanx again!
