NeverWinter Nights -HELP! (non tech)

I need help with my charictor. I want to take him into the Single palyer mode out of my MP game. Level up some and stuff but still take him back into my multi game I serve for lan partys and have the stuff still (XP-goods etc.). A) is this possible like diablo and B) will the items/enemies I kill still be on multi-player map even though I ran in single????? New to this game so any advice/tips with this kinda stuff very apreciated. I get tired of my lan buddies getting all the good stuff while I kil the bad guys off. OS I wanted to get some back the EASY way-SP mode. Thanks all. :t

Copy the character's .bic file from your server vault on the machine you serve your games on to your local vault on the machine you play on. Start whatever game you want to play, and use that character. Save him when you're done and copy him back into the server vault for the MP game.

It's easy when you have control of all relevant machines

Thanks Rugor, thats exactly what I wanted to know. Im the server so I got all the files here. Im gonna give that a wirl! I have lan partys (Local only). Since NWN dropped to $30 we all went out and grabbed a copy at wal-mart. Great deal, I didnt know it dropped that much already but saw the price on a review and was like WoHoooo. Im a budget game freak-$50 is just too much for my taste.

Server is my main rig. Xp 2500+ (3200+ O'clocked), Asus A7N8X deluxe mobo, 512mb pc2700 Kingston cas 2.5, Radeon 8500, Duel 100mbps ethernet onboard and Netgear 5 port 100mbps switch. Could be better for serving games-but could be worse too I guess. 1gig mem Im sure would help.

What kinda .net connection you need for online? I mean just me-not hosting anyone else here obviously(dial up connection). I did ok with WC3 and 56k, but this game has alot more going on. THink she'll handle it? If so Ill give it a try here soon.....Im just a noob at this game though. Always been a fan of the old Advanced D&D based games though and this game has me hooked already! After this is beat Im getting the expansion pak.:t

56K is fine for playing, but it limits you to servers that don't use large hakpacks.

One I play on needs about 500MB of haks and it's not doable on dialup.

The only thing I would suggest is holding off on online until you have the Expansion, most of the good worlds have gone over to it now.

It is a good game though, isn't it :)

The standard games bioware serves usually dont have large hacks right? Best bet is their server after I get the expansion? Yes-it is a GREAT game.:D
