Ah, it gets better, Game have knocked a tenner off the pre-order price, but ar enow publishing the release date as 'November' (which the staff in-store have been saying for some time now)...still, amazon UK are stickign to Sept 30

Ah great more ways to suck money fom us how clever. I wonder what the pricings are..50 bucks for 1 player only? 70 for 1 & 2 player? What about pre-orders?
There will be some mad people who buy the wrong version accidentally. Where I live you can't return any software for a different title. I'd be surprised if they'd swap versions of half life.
Heh so much hype and BS about this game. Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out to be another daikatana :)

This game looks fabulous but i think we're gonna get shafted. I wonder what kind of security the game will have? It'll be interesting to see how the crackers get around it.

no i meant about the game coming out. Should have kept it a secret even longer than they did until like a month before it is released. People are gonna buy it regardless as its the sequel to possibly one of the greatest games of all time.

Ain't that always the way... Sort of like buying a Lord of the Rings DVD - two opportunities for the consumer to part with his money. And here comes HL2 with five (appears to have been updated)! Anyway, option 3 might suit me best. I have yet to use Steam.
