speaker problems

i'm having trouble w/ my speakers which have always worked fine in the past...the problem comes when playing music mp3 files in winamp3 that I ripped myself at 192 (have tried several diff. ones) I get a flickering in the speakers. have re hooked up all the wires and everything any suggestions it's driving me crazy! thanks in advance.

the only things i can think off are

1. Try Reseating the card and checking the jack connection at the back.

2. try some headphones in the back socket and see if they crackle as this will eliminate whether its the sound card or the speakers. or try your speakers on another system

Do you have this problem with other sources?
Do you get this problem when you turn the speakers volume control up or down?
