Graham 07-15-2001, 09:18 AM Most monitors degauss themselves when they turn on, often you can hear it. it may help to turn it on an off a few times, leave it a minute or so between each one, if you dont hear the sound, leave it a bit longer. If you are really courageous you can coax the blotches out with a magnet, but I dont advise it. you can make a degaussing coil, I have seen an article somewhere, its nothing complicated, just a coil with ac passing through.
