I want to put more RAM in my machine, what do I look for to tell if I can use PC-133 RAM?

Also, Has anyone here used a cannoscan for slide/sheet film? If so, how did it perform? On which, 35mm or 4x5? etc...

Thank you.

Apparently this is a prebuilt system.

If you're going to add more memory to your system, you better find out what kind its running. ie PC100 or PC133

You can get a PC133 to run in your system, but if the current memory is PC100, that is what the PC133 will run at. You could also wind up with system instabilities. The computer may not want to work with both rams installed. etc.

Or, just get a 256mb stick of PC133 name-brand and use it, take out the old ram.

Here some ideal manufacturers of memory.
Kingston
Crucial (subsid of Micron)
Infineon
Micron

Anyone else know of some?

Before you do this check that your mobo can handle sticks of more than 128 (mine cant handle sticks higher than 64 ..)

"I want to put more RAM in my machine, what do I look for to tell if I can use PC-133 RAM?"

If you go to one of the sites, most will show you how to identify what you have. They also have dropdown menus (fill in the blanks) that will work up memory choices for your computer. Crucial has a simple one to use. But be sure to shop around.
