Was wondering if its worth the price to upgrade, and will I see a difference with the new card. Im looking at going from a geforce 3 ti 500 64 mb ddr to a 5600 ultra or a radeon 9500. Is my geforce 3 ti 500 still fast enough to play all the best stuff.

im not sure about the BEST stuff but i heard the gf3 ti is still better than the geforce4 mx so doesnt that mean itll still last awhile? i think you want the 9500 Pro if u can find it, i think its at newegg.com. umm yeah u will see a big improvement with anti-alias and anisotroptic filtering on, as you can 100 frames while having it still on 4xAA and 16X aniso. if u have the money and desperately want to upgrade then go get it. but if u are satisfied with your card right now just wait awhile till it gets fully out of date

It depends on the rest of your system. Putting one of those cards in a 1GHz machine would be futile because the CPU would be a bottleneck.

The Ti500 is a good card that will play any of todays games, but not at the highest of settings with some of the newer games that are out, or will be out soon. If you're a big gamer and have a fast system as BPB pointed out, you will see a nice performance boost. If you're not a big gamer I would stick with what you've got.
